Sustainable agriculture with 60 farmer groups is another priority area of the organisation.
People's Organisation in this area is working satisfactorily according to the people's plan. Primarily, in the village committee meeting they discussed and took resolution on the subject like sustainable agriculture, social crimes, S G S Y, various Income generating programmes, creating of revolving fund to implement peoples plans, publication of SWAJAN, Gram Sansad and Panchyati Raj System etc. It clearly indicates that the reference people are actively participated in their development activities. In the workers' meeting they emphasised more on the problems and difficulties faced in implementing the plan of action, sharing of experiences and expertise to solve the problems for future planning.
It has been noticed that workers mobilised resources with their own initiative and solve the village level problems. Women actively participated in the different decision-making process and income generation programme. They also involved themselves to produce vegetables, run poultry etc by utilizing their own capital. Forest protection group has been formed. The Gram Sansad meeting is held regularly, even the PO's member are invited to facilitate the programme organised by Panchayat. All these clearly indicate that the workers became more confident and able to share their creative thinking in the development process. The village women mobilised and utilized their own resources for their economic development as a process of empowerment of women. The groups are becoming active to take the responsibilities in the development process. They (people) are demanding their rights.
