Regional Projects

Patna

Bihar was bifurcated in 2000.  In this region the number of industrial units is very less and employment opportunities negligible.  These contribute to large-scale migration of Biharis to other states in the country.  The State government is also not in a position to minimally meet the people’s need.  So, the people of Bihar have been further marginalized.

SPAR is working directly in 20 villages in Patna. Working areas of SPAR are under Terania Block in Chapra district of Bihar ------ some 80 kms. from Patna.  The major percentage of the population is scheduled & backward castes like Dom, Harijan, Kamar, Nunia and Tanti.
