JSP is an organisation based in the Hazaribagh district of Jharkhand State. Its main thrust is on activating the people's movement on issues like daily wages, identification and rehabilitation of child labour and protection of local forests. Two people's organisations - one for men i.e. Jan Morcha and another for women i.e. Mahila Parishad, have been formed. The members of P.O. are cooperating with 82 women self-help groups.

Workers of this organisation are working in the villages according to their schedule plan. Awareness level regarding the need for education has gone up considerably among the villagers of of this area. At present most of the villagers can write their names. This initiative has changed the attitude of the general villagers towards education. Villagers have started demanding the just and actual wage for their work as poverty is also a big problem in the rural areas. People are in the process of formulating their own village development plan giving priority to their own resources.
