§ Reckons potentiality of the people and puts faith on their indigenous knowledge, skill and experience. People are the assets and resources, they are the subjects, not objects of development.

§ Facilitates Empowerment of the poor and marginalised people and strengthens their organisations (POs) through people’s participatory process.

§ Works through direct intervention in the field and extends technical and financial support to like minded grassroots level NGOs in West Bengal, Jharkhand and Orissa through a network.

§ Promotes alliances with other organisations in India and abroad and exercises advocacy in favour of pro-people issues.

§ Presently working directly among the scheduled caste, scheduled tribes & other backward castes, women, children, and minority communities in Jharkhand, Orissa and West Bengal.

§ Capacitates peoples organisations, civil society institutions and NGOs on different development concepts, practices and issues in Bangladesh, Nepal and India.

§ Takes part as a member of Forum of Collective Forms of Co-operation (FCFC) at regional and national level to promote pro-people initiatives and network in our country.
